Shoulder Surgery Bra Straps

In women, wearing a bra after surgery is cumbersome, especially in open surgeries where the incision itself is named as bra strap incision (delto pectoral incision) due to the fact that the line of incision runs practically along the narrow area occupied by the bra strap near the shoulder from the front to the back. It can give rise to more pain following surgery. It is desirable for them to remain without a bra at least until the sutures are removed. They are not so much of a problem with arthroscopic surgeries or mini open surgeries.
